CLUM license agreement (EULA)
Plain-language draft, pending lawyer review.Takes effect on the date shown once reviewed.
Seller: Locally LLC, Ohio, United States. Effective: November 13, 2026.
1. What this agreement covers
This agreement is between you and the seller named above ("we"). It covers the CLUM software for Linux (CLUM Hub, CLUM Work, CLUM Web), the CLUM Remote add-on and apps, and their 1.x updates ("CLUM"). By installing or using CLUM you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install CLUM, and ask for a refund within 30 days.
2. Your license
- When you buy CLUM, you get a lasting, non-exclusive license to install and use it. The license is for one person: you.
- You may install and use CLUM on any computers you own or control for your own use, personal or for your work.
- Other people, including family members and colleagues, each need their own license. A company that wants CLUM for several employees needs one license per person. Team and company licenses may be offered later.
- The license covers every CLUM 1.x version. A future CLUM 2.0 may be a paid upgrade; owners of 1.x will be offered a discount.
3. CLUM Remote
CLUM Remote is unlocked with a license key. One key is for one person. It may be used with that person's CLUM Hub installations and that person's phones and laptops. The CLUM Remote apps are free to install but only work with an unlocked CLUM Hub.
4. What you may not do
- Share, publish, sell or give away your license key or the CLUM installer.
- Rent out CLUM, or offer it to others as a hosted service.
- Remove or get around the license check.
- Reverse-engineer CLUM, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement.
- Use CLUM for anything illegal, or to harm, harass, deceive or endanger people.
We may withdraw a license key that was refunded, charged back, shared or leaked. Withdrawn keys stop working after you install an update that contains them.
5. Open-source parts
CLUM includes and installs open-source software, listed on the third-party licenses page. Each part keeps its own license. Nothing in this agreement limits the rights those licenses give you.
6. AI models and uncensored models
- CLUM does not include AI models. When you choose them, they download from the places where their makers publish them (for example Hugging Face). Each model has its own license and, for some, its own usage rules. By downloading a model you agree to follow them. CLUM shows each model's license in its settings.
- CLUM Work and CLUM Web use uncensored models by default. "Uncensored" (also called "abliterated") models are versions of open models changed by third parties so that they refuse far fewer requests. This is a deliberate feature of CLUM: an unfiltered assistant that runs privately on your own PC. You can choose other models in CLUM's settings.
- Uncensored models will not stop you from creating content that is offensive, harmful or illegal. You are solely responsible for what you ask for, for what CLUM creates for you, and for how you use, publish or share it. You must follow the law that applies to you, and you may not use CLUM for anything listed in section 4. The original model's license and usage rules still apply to uncensored versions.
- Results from uncensored models are not checked or filtered by us, and we do not see them. They do not reflect our views.
- Apps CLUM builds use a normal model by default. An uncensored model is used in an app only if you ask for it, and never together with internet access.
7. What you make with CLUM
What you create with CLUM belongs to you, as far as the law allows. Material from the web keeps its own rights: pictures CLUM Web finds keep their own license, which CLUM shows before you accept them and credits in documents. You are responsible for using web material lawfully.
8. AI makes mistakes
CLUM's results can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even after its own checks. Check anything important yourself. Do not rely on CLUM alone for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
9. Warranty
CLUM is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will run on your computer, be free of errors, or fit a particular purpose. Your consumer rights under the law where you live are not affected. If CLUM does not work for you, the 30-day refund applies.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for CLUM. We are not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damage. CLUM sends deleted files to the Trash, but you should keep your own backups. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for intent or gross negligence).
11. Ending the license
Your license ends if you get a refund or break this agreement. You must then stop using CLUM and uninstall it.
12. Changes and law
We may change this agreement for future versions; the version that came with your copy keeps applying to it. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, and the courts of Ohio, without taking away any consumer protection the law of your country gives you.
